Hello,

a bit about me:

I am an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of California at San Francisco School of Nursing Department of Community Health Systems.  I am also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Chamberlain University School of Nursing.  I have a PhD and DNP from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing (SON).  I have been a clinician practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 1995 and a HIV specialist since 2001. I. I have always been focused on quality improvement and providing excellent holistic care to my patients.  My area of focus is improving the quality of primary and specialty care for patients and specifically addressing the problems of immune activation and chronic inflammation caused by the translocation of microbial products from the gut in the HIV infected population.  I am also researching symptom clusters and cannabis as a management strategy. â€‹
